Love, Joy, Peace and Harmony
I am about to show you what I consider to be one of the best purchases of my lifetime. This is quite possibly one of my favorite things. It's not Prada or Gucci and I didn't get it at the Nordstrom sale that started yesterday. As a matter of fact it's not really even for me. But yet it has brought laughter and joy and sanity to my life. Are you ready for this?
We Bought a Trampoline!
I have wanted one of these things FOREVER!
My boys are rowdy and rambunctious and this is the perfect place for that.
Yes, I do know that injuries happen on trampolines, but injuries can happen anywhere! We know a guy that recently shattered his elbow just by tripping and falling while he was walking. Not to mention numerous kids at Ben's school who have broken their arms falling off the monkey bars. So I'm okay with the risk of injury considering the amount of laughter and fun this has brought to our yard.
Besides that look what I found my kids doing out there today:

I am all for trampolines. Anything that can bring that much joy and exercise to kids is a-okay with me. And like you said, there are so many things that are dangerous...bikes, skateboards, swimming, monkey bars, swings..blah blah blah. And how cute is that pic of your boys!
we love, love, love our trampoline! it is a perfect outlet for all that energy - lots of kids can get on it - you get exercise while having fun - parents love jumping on it - and you can use it any time of the year in the northwest!! you will think it is a fabulous investment! love that picture of your boys!
I am so sending my kids to play at your house!
Wanna go to Omsi again when we are in OR for the coast trip?
oh my gosh are they NAPPING? that is awesome! : )
that picture is priceless! How fun.
super cute pic of the boys!!! Craig laughed when I told him that you talked about his broken elbow in this post!
Amen on the trampoline! My hubby grew up with one and we continue the same golden rule of one jumper at a time. My oldest has had her trampolince for 11 years and has not had one injury. Enjoy!
I spy an otter pop wrapper! ;-) And obviously the trampoline is doing it's job! What great fun! Enjoy!
I feel EXACTLY the same way with our recent tramp purchase. HOURS of enjoyment I tell you! Plus, I've played on it a few times myself and figure its great exercise. Best purchase this summer by far.
Such a sweet picture! Were they really asleep?
That is a priceless picture. I'd say that trampoline was a very worthwhile investment...:)
That picture is just so cute. I have not been on a trampoline since I was in my 20's....years and years ago. How fun. We do own a dance dance revolution and I just love it :)
Hmph. I want a trampoline.
Think I can find one on eBay for $20?
And yes, you can ask a question. ONE question. That is it. Don't make me get on to you again.

Still askin' - what are otter pops?!
You are going to laugh...but when we bought this house, we put in the contract that they HAD to take the trapoline with them! Here in the burbs...the yards are huge, and there are no fences. So, with our 2 acres...a trampoline without a fence is a law suit waiting to happen.
And still...what's an otter pop?
Kat, hasn't Tricia told you what an Otter Pop is yet? It is a popsicle without a stick. Wrapped so you can just push it up and eat or suck it as you would a popsicle.
In our neck of the woods, we buy them at Costco in boxes of 200. Makes for easy treats and you can say no when the ice cream man comes by because you have Otter Pops in the freezer.
Tricia, this is one of the best pictures I have seen. It is too precious. Save it forever.
OMgosh. I love it. That is the best pic I have seen this week!
You are a brave one. With my monsters, I can't bring myself to take the jumpy plunge.
That picture is adorable!
Our next door neighbors sometimes "camp out" on their trampoline. Sounds much more comfy than the ground!
We love Otter pops, but my kids just call them popsicles. When a friend asked my daughter this week if she wanted an Otter Pop, she just gave her a blank stare and said, "What's an Otter Pop?" Never mind that she eats them almost every single day. LOL
For some reason, I've neglected to add you to my reader...I have a lot of catching up to do on your blog!
