Taking a break

I'm tired. I'm worn out. I'm depleted. I'm running on empty. I've been sick for the better part of the last month and I'm struggling to find time and energy to do all of life's daily tasks, including one of the most important, which is spending quality, quiet time with God.

So that said, I am taking a blogging break. I don't know when I'll be back. A week? Two weeks? A month? I'm not sure.

I will, occasionally, stop by all of the blogs that I love to read (listed over there on the side), and will comment when I feel moved to do so. Until then I do ask for your prayers. For rest, renewal and restoration for me........which I know can come.

Thanks,
Trish

Oh yeah, I know I never reposted my "pray for Oprah" post. I will someday.

NO NO NO NO. That is not acceptable. I've been checking in daily to see what's new and was wondering where you were. I hope your rest is only a week. Selfish I know, but at least I said a week and not 24 hours. ;) I hope that when you come back you are refreshed, restored, renewed...provisions that only our Heavenly Father can make for us. I wish I could meet up with you at Sonic and chat over a Route 44. Hurry back! I'll be praying for you.

No, I'm with Debbie on this one. We all need to feel like someone out there has it worse than we do in this CRAZY, HECTIC world. You started me in on this so I'm hopin you'll be back soon. Actually, it sounds as if this malady is going around. LeeAnn has it too!

OK, I find it ironic that the post previous to this one is about me visiting with my 5 kids...

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by my blog & revealing your lurkiness! Now I'm lurking on yours! I appreciate your kind comments. And you can totally link me in your blogroll, if only because you have The Partridge Family's music on your site. TOTALLY have their Greatest Hits on my iPod & my husband goes crazy whenever I wanna rock out to "I Woke Up In Love This Morning!" He will be converted to the glory that is David Cassidy one day, I'm sure. Now...I'm off to read more of your blog...and hoping you're back soon. I'm gonna write your name in my prayer journal, in fact...I'll go do that now...
Blessings,
Leigh Anne

Trish, I found you through Kelly (Serenity Cottage)and Debbie. I just came by for a visit. I'm sorry you feel overwhelmed at present. You are wise to take a break. God bless you. I will pray for you. God is so good. He knows just what we need. Ask Him for wisdom (maybe you already have), and He gives freely. I have felt the way you do at times ~ many times. God be with you, as you rest.

Thought of you today....

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30

Trish,
I wish you all the peace and recovery you need. I am thankful that in the midst of your depletion, you took the time to leave me such a sweet comment. I have drawn such strength from the community of amazing blogging women. I hope you feel the same.

I don't stop by here as often as I should, and yet I find myself thinking of you often and hoping that all is well for you. I will remember you in my prayers and truly hope you feel back to yourself soon.

Happy thought for today: Psalms 37:5 and 7... "Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him."

With love,
-Jennifer P.
